Abacus's security portal is a cybersecurity platform used by finance companies to help them manage and prevent vulnerabilities
Project Overview
Over the course of several months, I designed a new feature for their main digital service, their security portal. The dashboard informs users of their company's security levels and directs them to resolve any issues. I worked with the director of product management and the engineering team.

Challenges
The security dashboard was intended for users to get an overall understanding of their cybersecurity heath and be able to remediate any issues.
- Abacus was finding that users did not get past the opening screen and therefore were not remediating the security issues they needed to.
Goals
- Create a sense of urgency towards critical security issues to encourage action
- Give more context on the issue and give them the appropriate resources to fix them.

Outcome
After refining the designs, we decided on having a security "grade" that was color coded. This color code indicated the level of urgency the vulnerability had. We also included a comparison and recommendations which helped nudge the customer to engage.
